Mylo

Terms of Service

Terms of Service

Effective: April 22, 2026

These Terms are an agreement between you and PIQ LLC, a Delaware limited liability company ("PIQ", "we", "us"). By downloading, installing, or using Mylo (the "Software"), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use Mylo.

License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms and your active subscription, PIQ grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to install and use Mylo on one Mac at a time. You may move your license to another Mac whenever you like by releasing it from the current device — in the app's settings, or via the self-service release flow at mylomessaging.com/release.

This license exists for your personal use only. If you want to use Mylo for business purposes within an organization, contact us at vdpbot@gmail.com about commercial licensing.

All rights not expressly granted are reserved. PIQ and its licensors retain all right, title, and interest in and to Mylo, including all intellectual property rights.

Restrictions

You agree that you will not, and will not permit any third party to:

  • Copy, modify, or create derivative works of Mylo, except to the minimal extent required to achieve local interoperability (and only where such a right cannot be excluded under applicable law).
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble Mylo, except to the minimal extent permitted by applicable law.
  • Rent, lease, lend, sell, sublicense, assign, distribute, publish, or otherwise transfer Mylo or your license to any third party.
  • Use Mylo to surveil, stalk, harass, impersonate, or intrude upon the privacy of any person, including by reading another person's messages without their informed consent.
  • Use Mylo to process data on behalf of any person other than yourself without their consent.
  • Remove or obscure any proprietary notices on Mylo.
  • Circumvent or disable any license-validation, update, or security mechanism in Mylo.
  • Use Mylo in violation of any applicable law, including export control, anti-spam, or privacy law.

We take the anti-surveillance restriction seriously. Mylo is a tool for you to remember the people in your own life, not a tool to monitor someone else's. If we become aware that you're using Mylo to surveil another person without their consent, we will revoke your license without a refund and, where appropriate, report to the relevant authorities. We may also revoke a license for repeated or egregious violations of any other part of these Terms. Revocation takes effect immediately. The app will show the license gate and block access on its next online check.

Subscription

Plans and pricing. Mylo is offered in three plans, all billed through Paddle, our merchant of record. Taxes (VAT, sales tax, GST) are applied by Paddle based on your billing location and may appear as a separate line item at checkout.

  • Monthly subscription: $14.99 USD per month, billed monthly in advance, auto-renews until you cancel.
  • Yearly subscription: $119.99 USD per year, billed once a year in advance, auto-renews until you cancel.
  • Lifetime license: $249.99 USD, one-time. No subscription, no recurring charges. Grants you a non-transferable lifetime license to Mylo for as long as the app is operated.

Free trial (monthly and yearly only). New customers on the monthly and yearly plans get a 1-month free trial (monthly and yearly). We collect your payment method up front, but you are not charged during the trial period. If you cancel before the trial ends you pay nothing. If you do not cancel, the first charge is taken automatically when the trial ends.

Lifetime — no trial, 14-day refund window. Lifetime is a one-time charge taken at checkout. There is no free trial, because Paddle does not support trials on one-time products. Instead, lifetime purchases are backed by a 14-day no-questions-asked refund window from the date of the charge. After 14 days, the lifetime sale is final.

Auto-renewal. Monthly and yearly subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period at the then-current price, until you cancel them. The lifetime plan does not renew. We'll email you if we plan to change subscription prices. Any increase will take effect no sooner than your next renewal after the notice. The lifetime price you paid is locked in.

Cancellation. You can cancel anytime through Paddle's customer portal, linked from your receipt emails and from inside the Mylo app. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep full access until that date, and you won't be charged again after it.

Past-due accounts. If a payment fails, Paddle will retry over several days. If it still hasn't succeeded, your license will transition to an inactive state and the app will block access on its next online check. Paying the past-due invoice restores access.

License is tied to the subscription. When the subscription ends (whether through cancellation, non-payment, or our revocation), your license to use Mylo ends too. The app will require an active subscription to continue working on its next license check, or at the end of the 14-day offline grace period, whichever is sooner.

Refunds

Monthly and yearly: no refunds. The 1-month free trial (monthly and yearly) is the moment to decide whether to continue. Cancel during the trial and you pay nothing. Once a charge is taken at the end of the trial, or at any future renewal, the charge is final and is not refundable.

Lifetime: 14-day no-questions-asked refund from the date of purchase. After 14 days, the lifetime sale is final.

Mistaken or unauthorized charges (double-charges, charges after a successful cancellation, charges on payment methods you did not authorize) will be corrected regardless of plan. See the Refund Policy for the procedure.

If you're in the EU or UK, nothing in this section limits any statutory withdrawal right you have under local consumer law. See the Refund Policy for details.

Your data

Mylo runs on your Mac and keeps your message, contact, and calendar content on your Mac. The small amount of information we do hold (your name, email, license, and subscription status) is described in the Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. If there is ever a conflict between these Terms and the Privacy Policy on a data-handling question, the Privacy Policy controls.

Warranty

Mylo is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", with all faults and without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, PIQ disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that Mylo will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will correctly identify every person you should reach out to.

Limitation of liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, PIQ's total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of Mylo is limited to the total amount of subscription fees you paid to PIQ in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Neither party will be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption, even if advised of the possibility.

Exclusions. These limitations do not apply to:

  • PIQ's gross negligence or willful misconduct.
  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
  • Death or personal injury caused by PIQ's negligence.
  • Any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law (including, in the EU and UK, liability for defective products and statutory consumer rights).

If you're a consumer in a jurisdiction that doesn't allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of certain damages, some of the above may not apply to you, and you may have additional rights under local law.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or Mylo that cannot be resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you and PIQ each consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

Nothing in this section deprives a consumer of the protection of mandatory law in their country of residence. If you are an EU or UK consumer, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your country and rely on the consumer-protection laws of your country.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the product evolves or as the law changes. When we make material changes, we'll post a note on mylomessaging.com and update the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Mylo after the effective date of the updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of them.
